Tubular Thimble For Marine Mooring System
A Tubular Thimble is a critical rigging component used in marine mooring systems to create a protected and durable eye termination in synthetic ropes. It works as a reinforced sleeve surrendered to rope bending parts, reducing friction of rope, and distributing load evenly to extend service life and enhance safety of ropes.
When the rope is connected to other ropes or chains, it is done by shackle connecting to steel thimble, to prevent direct contacts with the ropes, which would cause wear on the ropes.
