Moorings Systems for Marine Floating PV are important for securing the floating solar panels in place and ensuring their stability in a marine environment. Our Offshore Floating Solar PV Mooring Systems are modular floating platforms in dynamic aquatic environments. We provide the complete mooring solutions to ensure the reliable performance and the serive life of your floating solar project.
The key mooring components of the mooring system,
Anchor: We choose the right anchor type based on the seabed condition, drag embedment anchor or screw anchor type are selected as per seabed condition.
Mooring Lines: UV-resistant synthetic ropes, Polyester or HMPE ropes are widely used, coupled with galvanized chains to from the main load bearing framework. The ropes are spliced with thimbles and master link at the both ends to have easy connection with anchor chains and floating platform.
Load Distribution Nodes: Forged connection plate with 8 or 12 eyes are commonly used to ensure even load sharing among multiple mooring legs.
Connection Hardwares: All the shackles, swivels and links are hot dipped galvanized or stainless steel to prevent corrossion. And swivels at the end of mooring chain or buoy ends to prevent torque buildup in the system.
Screw anchor piles are commonly used in shallow waters floating PV mooring, it is also known as a helical anchor or helical pile, is a type of ground anchor used to secure structures and foundations to the ground. They consist of a spiral steel shaft with one or more spirals (metal plates) welded to the shaft. The anchor's spiral shape allows it to be easily screwed into the soil, providing a quick and efficient installation process.
Galvanized Open Link Chain is used as ground weight chain in sea floating PV mooring like the design of other mooring systems.
Polyester rope or double braided polyester ropes are commonly used as mooring lines, since polyester rope has a higher elongation to absorb shock loads. The elongation of polyester rope is 12%-15%, and in all kinds of chemical and natural fiber ropes, it’s with the best UV resistance. It’s owns stable chemical performance, good abrasion and chemical corrosion resistance.
Galvanized Multi-eyes connection plate and PE buoys are used in system with multi mooring legs connections. Galvanized Bow shackles are widely used for each components joining.
