The concepts and components of the mooring system are defined as follows:


Anchor lines: Anchor and anchor chains, used for fixing the mooring system into the seabed.

Frame line: The rope between the cages.

Bridle line: The rope used for connecting the coupling point to cage.

Buoy: Floating the coupling point up.
